Recently WordPress released their latest version 2.9; the world’s greatest blogging platform.

It has been named “Carmen,” after the jazz vocalist Carmen McRae.  I have upgraded as soon as I found out about it and trust me, it is sweet. Unlike any other previous versions, WordPress 2.9 offers a huge array of upgrades and improvements.

Just go to your Dashboard and click on the upgrade button and bingo!

WordPress has included several cool and amazing stuffs in their latest 2.9 version.

Some of the features:

• Built-in image editor:  This allows you to crop, edit, rotate, flip, and scale your images. This is truly an amazing feature that we all have been waiting for.

• Batch plugin update: Now you can simply update multiple plugins at the once instead of doing it one by one saving you a lot of time. It also shows if a certain plugin is compatible with your version to avoid any crashes.

• Global Undo Option: This feature is really cool. Have you ever deleted some of your comments or even posts and wanted to get them back? Well now you can. If you accidentally delete a post or comment you can undo them or bring them back from the trash within 30 days.

• Better & Easier Video Embeds:  Now you can just paste a URL on its own line and it will automatically turn it into the proper embedded code. It supports YouTube, Daily Motion, Blip.tv, Flickr, Hulu, Viddler, Qik, Revision3, Scribd, Google Video, Photobucket, PollDaddy, and WordPress.tv etc
